The SriLankan team is seeking dynamic individuals to join us as:

Junior Aircraft Maintenance Planner

The incumbent will mainly engage in maintenance planning of all maintenance checks on time as per Aircraft Maintenance Program.

Perform all process commencement from the time of maintenance input and work scope establishment, thorough planning, execution and post check handling of work package, technical documentation and materials, in accordance with the customer interface or contract agreement.

Plan/Perform supplementary production planning projects activity between maintenance events upon production planning management request.

Key responsibilities will include:

Plan and schedule the routine and special maintenance requirements (Special Work Cards) for a given aircraft to ensure that the requirements are accomplished without exceeding the times specified on suitable ground slots as per Aircraft Maintenance Program.

Prepare work programs and work packages for aircraft maintenance inputs including ‘A’, and ‘C’ checks & special inputs, so that could be informed in a timely manner for the accomplishment of the tasks. Pre-load all the material and tooling etc.

During planned maintenance activities to ensure unnecessary are avoided.
Monitor the maintenance checks such as “Weekly”, ‘A’ and ‘C’ checks and coordinate with relevant sections in order to complete maintenance in a timely manner.

Maintain and update the time controlled maintenance records such as Maintenance Program Tasks, Special Inspections, Special Work Cards / Time Expiry / Engineering Orders /etc. to assure that the tasks are issued for maintenance inputs as and when due using enterprise resource planning system.

Follow up/schedule carried forward defects and related Engineering Query Response Form reply’s on suitable maintenance inputs.

Prepare man hour estimates, reports, Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization tasks & related work package details required by lessor on assigned aircraft including hand over completed paper work to tech record section on timely basis.

The applicants should possess the following minimum requirements:

Technical diploma or equivalent level qualifications in the field of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics,
or Aeronautical/Aerospace engineering.
2-year Basic aircraft maintenance course in B1 or B2 category.
The upper age limit should be 30 years as of the closing date of 01st February 2023

Employment will be offered on fixed term contract.
