Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

What your day to day will look like?

  • You are managing an Aircraft Maintenance team to the group objectives.
  • You will provide oversight for the facility and ground equipment maintenance.
  • You will be an active participant in the organizational coordination meetings that are including all support groups and the customer.  
  • You will correct your planning to satisfy the objectives changes driven by the test program decisions, management, or by a business context change. 
  • You will guide and coach the personnel under your responsibility.  
  • You will provide change management driven by regulations or corporate directives changes.
  • You will ensure that the Environment Health and Safety rules are adhered to within your control zone.
  • You will drive technical problem investigation and propose solutions.  

What do you need to be successful?

  • Must have
    • College Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance & 5 years of experience
    • A valid M2 Transport Canada M2 Aircraft Maintenance License
    • Experience in personnel management
    • Knowledge and experience in aircraft line and heavy maintenance
    • Knowledge of airframes, Aircraft Engines, and hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
    • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
    • Ability to understand the maintenance personnel’s needs
    • Demonstrate ability to work well in a team and to perform under pressure.
    • Demonstrate ability to adapt to change
    • Bilingual (English and French).
  • Asset
    • Knowledge of the Canadian Air Regulations  
    • Knowledge and understanding of the documentation and traceability requirements applied to aircraft maintenance.
    • Leadership, Autonomy, passion, ownership
    • Ability to innovate, change status, and bring improvements to the business unit.

  • Preferred fields of Education
    • College degree in Aircraft maintenance,
    • Potentially Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another applicable scientific discipline
  • Additional information
    • May travel occasionally for business
    • Work schedule on day shift, evening shift, and weekend shifts in a rotation
