About the opportunity

As the Maintenance Program Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the Approved Maintenance Programs for the Jetstar Group Airbus Fleet. This includes development, approval, implementation, and continuous monitoring of the programs to ensure they remain compliant with all regulatory requirements. You will take ownership of the approved maintenance program for Jetstar’s A321 NEO (or A320/321 or B787) Fleet, driving improved performance whilst maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

As the Maintenance Program Engineer, your responsibilities will be;

  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and actively manage all fleet safety threats.
  • Being responsible for the review and resolution of fleet maintenance program issues including investigations.
  • Ensuring the Approved Maintenance Program remains 100% compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Ensuring the Approved Maintenance Program is implemented and maintained with 100% accuracy into TRAX. 
  • Reviewing reliability reports, maintenance deferrals, and scheduled maintenance findings to ensure the effectiveness of the AMP.
  • Providing Fleet Technical Management for Jetstar Asia/ Jetstar Japan
  • Minimizing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance by escalating/optimizing tasks where possible to optimize fleet performance.

Your experience and attributes will include;

  • Experience managing the Aircraft Maintenance Program
  • Have sound knowledge of CASA regulations particularly Part 42 and Part 145
  • Analytical ability using IT platforms (Excel, Word, Access) and understanding of TRAX and AirNav
  • Have exceptional prioritization, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish strong personal working relationships 
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • Qualified to engineer degree level (BEng) or be a trained industry engineering professional (Aircraft trade certificate and/or Aircraft Maintenance License holder)
  • Process-driven, with experience in constructing new processes to deliver business goals
